Copyright Policy
Last updated:
Antibot is a customizable AI community bot for Discord published by Techies Lab. We respect the intellectual property rights of creators, users, developers, Discord communities, and other rights holders.
This Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy explains the ownership and permitted use of Antibot materials, user responsibilities, and the process for reporting suspected copyright or trademark infringement.
1. Scope Of This Policy
This policy applies to the Antibot website, Discord application, administrative dashboard, software, documentation, communications, AI-powered features, generated materials, and other services provided through Antibot.
It also applies when users submit prompts, messages, commands, configurations, files, or other content for Antibot to process.
Intellectual property laws vary between jurisdictions. This policy describes Antibot's operational approach and does not replace any rights or remedies available under applicable law.
2. Antibot And Techies Lab Materials
The Antibot software, website design, interface, source code, object code, product documentation, written content, graphics, artwork, brand elements, product names, and other materials created for the Service are owned by or licensed to Antibot, Techies Lab, or their respective rights holders.
Using Antibot does not transfer ownership of these materials to the user. Users receive only the limited permission necessary to access and use Antibot for its intended purposes.
Unless written permission is provided, users may not:
- Reproduce or republish Antibot materials;
- Sell, sublicense, or distribute Antibot materials;
- Remove copyright, trademark, or ownership notices;
- Present Antibot materials as their own;
- Use Antibot branding in a way that suggests an unauthorized partnership, sponsorship, endorsement, or official relationship.
3. User And Third-Party Content
Users and third parties retain the intellectual property rights they hold in content they create or provide.
Antibot does not claim ownership of content merely because it is included in a prompt, Discord message, command, configuration, support request, or other interaction with the Service.
Users are responsible for ensuring that they possess the rights, licenses, permissions, and legal authority required to provide content to Antibot and use the resulting output.
Users must not use Antibot to reproduce, publish, distribute, or promote content in a manner that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other third-party rights.
4. AI-Generated Content
Antibot uses artificial intelligence to support community conversations, engagement, summaries, member context, custom personalities, moderation, and related Discord community features.
AI-generated content may not be unique. Similar or identical output may be produced for different users or communities.
Users should review AI-generated content before publishing, distributing, or relying on it. Antibot does not guarantee that generated content:
- Is eligible for copyright protection;
- Is exclusive to a particular user or community;
- Is completely original;
- Is free from every possible third-party claim;
- Is suitable for commercial publication.
Users remain responsible for deciding whether and how generated content may be used.
5. Permitted And Prohibited Use
Users may access Antibot materials when reasonably necessary to use the Service, evaluate its features, manage an authorized Discord community, or refer accurately to Antibot.
Without permission or another lawful basis, users must not:
- Copy or redistribute substantial portions of the Antibot website, software, or documentation;
- Sell or commercially exploit Antibot materials separately from the Service;
- Use Antibot to facilitate unauthorized distribution of copyrighted content;
- Remove or alter copyright, trademark, attribution, or ownership notices;
- Impersonate Antibot, Techies Lab, or their representatives;
- Register or use a confusingly similar product name, domain, logo, account, or application identity;
- Falsely represent that a product, service, or community is endorsed by Antibot or Techies Lab.
Nothing in this policy is intended to prevent activities permitted by applicable law, including copyright exceptions such as fair use or fair dealing where they apply.
6. Reporting Copyright Infringement
A copyright owner or authorized representative who believes that content available through Antibot infringes copyright may submit a written notice to [email protected].
A copyright infringement notice should include:
- The full name and contact information of the reporting person;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- The exact location of the reported material;
- Any relevant URL, Discord server ID, channel ID, message ID, user ID, or other information that helps Antibot locate the material;
- An explanation of why the reported use is believed to infringe copyright;
- A statement that the report is made in good faith and that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its representative, or applicable law;
- A statement that the information provided is accurate and that the reporting person is the copyright owner or is authorized to act for the copyright owner;
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative.
Screenshots may provide useful context, but screenshots alone might not allow Antibot to locate the reported material. Direct links and relevant Discord identifiers should be included whenever available.
7. Content Hosted On Discord
Antibot operates through Discord but does not own or control the Discord platform.
When reported content is hosted directly in a Discord server, channel, message, user profile, or attachment, Antibot may not have the technical authority to remove that content from Discord.
The rights holder may need to report the content directly to Discord through Discord's copyright and intellectual property reporting process. Submitting a report to Antibot does not replace any notice that must be submitted separately to Discord or another hosting provider.
8. Review And Response
After receiving a sufficiently complete infringement notice, Antibot may:
- Review the information contained in the notice;
- Request clarification or supporting evidence;
- Locate and assess the reported material;
- Restrict an affected Antibot feature;
- Remove or disable access to material within Antibot's control;
- Notify the affected user or Discord server administrator;
- Preserve relevant records;
- Take another action considered reasonable under the circumstances.
Antibot may decline to act when a notice is incomplete, cannot be reasonably verified, does not identify material Antibot can locate, concerns content outside Antibot's control, or does not present a reasonable intellectual property concern.
Any response from Antibot does not constitute a legal determination regarding copyright ownership or infringement.
9. Counter-Notices And Appeals
A user who believes content was restricted or removed because of a mistake or incorrect identification may contact Antibot at [email protected]. The request should include:
- Identification of the affected material;
- The previous location of the material;
- An explanation of why the action is believed to be mistaken;
- The user's contact information;
- Any relevant permission, license, authorization, or supporting evidence;
- A physical or electronic signature.
Antibot may share relevant information from a counter-notice with the original reporting person when reasonably necessary to review the dispute or when required by applicable law.
When Discord removed the content or restricted an account, the affected person must use Discord's applicable appeal or counter-notice process.
10. Repeat Or Serious Infringement
Antibot may restrict features, suspend access, remove configurations, or terminate access to the Service when repeated or serious infringement is reasonably confirmed. Factors considered may include:
- The number and reliability of infringement notices;
- The nature and severity of the reported activity;
- The user's response;
- Previous warnings or enforcement actions;
- Evidence of authorization;
- The risk of continued infringement or harm.
Antibot cannot terminate a Discord account or remove a user from the Discord platform. Discord independently controls its accounts, servers, content, and enforcement processes.
11. Trademark And Brand Concerns
The Antibot and Techies Lab names, logos, visual identities, product presentation, and related brand elements may be protected by trademark and other intellectual property laws.
Using Antibot does not grant permission to register, imitate, misrepresent, or misuse these brand elements. A trademark complaint should include:
- Identification of the trademark;
- Information about the rights holder;
- Relevant registration information, when available;
- The exact location of the disputed use;
- The products or services involved;
- An explanation of why the use may cause confusion;
- The reporting person's contact information;
- Confirmation that the reporting person is authorized to act;
- A physical or electronic signature.
12. False Or Misleading Notices
Copyright and trademark reports must be accurate, honest, and submitted in good faith. Antibot may reject notices that:
- Knowingly contain false information;
- Omit important facts;
- Misuse the reporting process;
- Target lawful criticism without a valid intellectual property basis;
- Attempt to restrict lawful competition;
- Do not identify an enforceable intellectual property concern.
A person who knowingly submits a material misrepresentation may face consequences under applicable law. Reporters and affected users should consider obtaining independent legal advice when a copyright or trademark dispute is complex.
13. Changes To This Policy
Antibot may update this policy when its features, intellectual property practices, reporting procedures, platform integrations, or applicable requirements change.
The "Last updated" date at the beginning of this policy identifies the most recent version. Material changes may also be communicated through the Antibot website, Discord community, or other available communication channels where appropriate.
